Guangjiu college was founded in 2010. In August 2010, Dongguan Municipal People's Government replied and formally agreed that Dongguan Changming Hotel Investment Co., Ltd. would prepare to build "Guangdong Hotel Management Vocational and Technical College" (dfbf [2010] No. 511) in Houjie Town cultural and ecological education park. On August 1, 2011, the people's Government of Guangdong Province approved the establishment of "Guangdong Hotel Management Vocational and Technical College" (YFH [2011] No. 205). On January 8, 2012, guangjiu college was listed in the key construction project of "cultural province project" of Dongguan City in 2012 (DFB [2012] No.5). In 2016, guangjiu college was included in the national college entrance examination enrollment plan. In the first year, it has five majors, including hotel management, business English, cooking technology and nutrition, Western food technology, and accounting, with a total of 723 full-time students. Among them, the teachers of hotel management department have overseas study experience.
