Xiangtan Institute of Education

Xiangtan Institute of education, founded in 1959, is an adult college approved by the Ministry of education. In 2005, with the approval of the Ministry of education, Xiangtan Institute of education became a university with the enrollment qualification of ordinary higher education. Hunan Province secondary level kindergarten teacher training school. Xiangtan Institute of education is also the Xiangtan teacher training center, the national teacher training characteristic demonstration school, the National Teacher Education Alliance Learning and resource center, the Hunan rural primary school English computer backbone teacher training school, and the Xiangtan primary and secondary school teacher and education administrative cadre training base.

The college is located in the center of Xiangtan City, adjacent to the beautiful Yuhu Park, overlooking the majestic Shaofeng in the West and the remote Xiangshui in the East. It not only enjoys the scenery of lakes and mountains, but also highlights the humanistic momentum. It is divided into two campuses, Yuhu and jiangshe (Higher Vocational students study in Yuhu campus), which is an ideal place to cultivate talents who can help the world.

The college has a strong faculty with noble morality, excellent quality, reasonable structure and exquisite teaching skills. It has more than 300 in-service and part-time teachers, and employs famous professors from Hunan University and Hunan University of science and technology, as well as foreign teachers from the United States and Britain.

The college always adheres to the school running philosophy of "student-oriented, all for the development of students" and the school running goal of "learning knowledge, training skills, training specialty, purifying soul". According to the needs of the society, strive to create "qualified + expertise" practical talents. During their study, our college will also help them obtain Putonghua certificate, computer certificate, teacher certificate and other professional certificates. In 2007, the college was rated as the advanced unit of Vocational Education in Xiangtan city.

Our college implements "order form" training for full-time students, and has signed joint school running agreements with many family units in Guangdong, Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces, providing internship and employment platform for graduates. The employment rate of graduates in 2007 is 96%.
