School of information and business of North China University is an independent college officially approved by the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China and the people's Government of Shanxi Province.

The school of information and business of North China University is a multi-disciplinary university, with 28 undergraduate majors, covering seven disciplines of engineering, arts, science, economics, management, law and teaching. The teaching tasks are mainly undertaken by teachers of North China University. The college enrolls students from 24 provinces, cities and autonomous regions in China. At present, it has more than 8000 full-time students.

The north campus is located at No.3 Xueyuan Road, Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province, adjacent to the campus of North China University. The south campus is located at No.15, No.8 Road, East Outer Ring Road, Taiyuan Education Park, Shanxi Province. The college covers an area of 683 mu, with a construction area of more than 200000 square meters. The campus environment is elegant, the air is fresh, the faculty is strong, the teaching conditions are excellent, and the learning atmosphere is strong. After the construction and development in recent years, the scale and strength of the college have been enriched and improved.

The college is oriented by social needs, aims at serving the society, follows the modern education concept, and cultivates advanced applied talents with solid foundation, strong professional skills and high comprehensive quality. The college adheres to the teaching work as the center, continuously deepens the education and teaching reform, and constantly improves the teaching quality. The passing rate of CET-4 has reached 80%, and the graduate rate has exceeded 8%. It has won 9 prizes in the international mathematical modeling contest, the National College Students' Challenge Cup subject knowledge contest, and the CCTV Cup National College Students' English speech contest. The college constantly innovates the school running mode, and tries out the "3 + 1" mode for computer majors, with the employment rate of 95%.

The college implements full-time undergraduate education with a four-year schooling. The enrollment objects are the candidates who have taken part in the national college entrance examination and meet the admission conditions of colleges and universities. The college enrollment plan is the national college enrollment plan.

Students who have completed their studies and passed the examination will be awarded the graduation certificate of School of information and business of North China University; those who meet the degree awarding conditions of School of information and business of North China University will be awarded the bachelor's degree certificate of School of information and business of North China University.
