Yunnan Tropical Crops Vocational College

Yunnan Tropical Crop Vocational College (formerly Yunnan Subtropical Crop technical school, founded in March 1960) is a provincial public higher vocational college with independent qualification. The college is located in the world tea source with beautiful scenery and pleasant climate, the tea capital of Pu'er, the tea city of China - Pu'er City (formerly Simao City) and the magical and beautiful Xishuangbanna. The Department of the college is located in Simao District of Pu'er City. The college covers an area of 102000 m2, with a building area of 55000 m2 and complete facilities. It has modern teaching building, experimental building, library, canteen, student apartment, standard plastic playground, computer network center and professional laboratory; it has a certain scale of rubber, tea, coffee, garden, tourism practice and training base. The college has 180 staff, including 3 external professors, 23 associate professors, 45 postgraduates (including students), and 128 professional and technical personnel at all levels. The college has 18 departments and business organizations, including Department of tropical crop technology, Department of landscape engineering and horticultural technology, Department of tourism, economic and trade management, Department of Humanities and basic application, Department of adult education and teaching, scientific research and information department, and experimental training center. It has established the 149th Vocational Skill Appraisal Institute of Yunnan Province, the National Computer Application Technology Certificate (NIT) training and examination base and the off campus learning center of distance education.
