Sichuan Vocational College of electronic machinery is an ordinary college which is approved by Sichuan Provincial People's government and put on record by the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China. The college is located in Mianyang, the second largest city in Sichuan Province, which is famous for "Li Bai's birthplace, China Science and technology city". Mianyang is the only science and Technology City in China and one of the first batch of pilot cities of "triple play" in China. It has been awarded many honors, such as the best model city of improving human settlement environment of the United Nations, the national civilized city, the national health city and so on. Mianyang has many state-level scientific research institutes, colleges and universities, state key laboratories, and state-level engineering technology research centers.
