The school of computer and information science of Southwest University is a comprehensive college which is mainly based on engineering and integrates science, engineering and management. After years of unremitting efforts, it has developed into a college with strong teaching and scientific research comprehensive strength and great influence in the field of Computer Science in Southwest China, which plays an important role in the national economic construction of Chongqing. Among the six schools that recruit free normal students, the school of computer and information science of Southwest University has two majors: Computer Science and technology and educational technology. The college has more than 2500 full-time undergraduates and 260 full-time postgraduates. There are 211 in-service teaching staff and 147 teaching and scientific research personnel, including 13 senior high school students, 53 deputy high school students, 29 doctors and 97 masters. The scale of teaching staff and enrollment are currently in the forefront of Southwest University. The college has 10 secondary units, including the Department of computer science, the Department of software engineering, the Department of network engineering, the Department of automation, the Department of electronic commerce, the Department of educational technology, the Department of information management, the Ministry of basic computer education, the Institute of artificial intelligence, and the Institute of automation. It has three professional master's fields of computer technology, software engineering, and modern educational technology, and a first-class discipline of computer science and technology There are 6 Master's degree authorization points in educational technology, information science and library science, 1 provincial key discipline (Computer Application Technology), 1 provincial engineering center (Chongqing intelligent instrument and control equipment Engineering Technology Research Center), 1 Chongqing Key Laboratory (intelligent software and software engineering), and Chongqing computer science experimental teaching demonstration center. The college has built a good platform for scientific research and technological innovation to cultivate all kinds of talents, and formed a good atmosphere of paying equal attention to teaching and scientific research. In cooperation with Institute of computing, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Siemens of Germany and Chongqing Hongxin software company, we have established "Semantic Grid Laboratory of Southwest University", "business intelligence laboratory", "Digital Media Laboratory" and "Southwest University Siemens advanced control technology laboratory".
