Shandong Huayu Institute of technology is a full-time undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of education. The college is located in Dezhou City, Shandong Province, a national excellent tourist city known as "Jiuda Tianqu, the gateway of Shenjing". Its predecessor is Dezhou Huayu school, which was founded in 2002. In July 2004, Shandong Huayu vocational and technical college was established with the approval of Shandong Provincial People's government and the record of the Ministry of education. On May 16, 2014, with the approval of the Ministry of education, Shandong Huayu Institute of technology was established on the basis of Shandong Huayu vocational and technical college, which was upgraded to a full-time undergraduate university.

With nearly 1500 seats, Huayu international cultural center has first-class lighting and sound equipment in China.
