Ulanqab Medical College

Ulanqab medical college is a new full-time general medical college approved by the Ministry of education in March 2009. The school mainly focuses on full-time general medical education, supplemented by five-year higher vocational education and adult education, and gives consideration to vocational training and social services. For more than half a century, it has transported a large number of medical talents for Ulanqab city and its surrounding areas, made outstanding contributions to the development of regional medical and health undertakings, and won the honorary titles of "Ulanqab May 1 labor certificate", "Ulanqab garden unit", "civilized unit pacesetter" and so on.

The school consists of two parts: the school headquarters and the affiliated hospital. The campus headquarters covers an area of 680 mu, with a construction area of 81900 square meters in the first phase. The campus green area is 383.51 mu, and the campus green space rate is 64.7%. There are 89 laboratories of various types, with a total value of 36.85 million yuan for teaching and scientific research instruments and equipment, and the opening rate of experiments is more than 90%. At present, the university is gradually implementing the construction of open laboratories to fully ensure the students' experimental training needs. The University and Inner Mongolia Hospital jointly held the major of medical imaging technology, cooperated with Chengde nursing college to set up English nursing major, jointly held the post undergraduate and adult education with Inner Mongolia Medical University, Inner Mongolia University for nationalities, Baotou Medical College and Northern College, and jointly held the 3 + 2 Higher Vocational Education with Chifeng health school.

At present, the school is affiliated to a secondary hospital, which integrates teaching, clinical and rehabilitation. It is a designated hospital of medical insurance, public medical care, urban medical care and new rural cooperative medical care in Ulanqab city. The hospital covers an area of 40.5 Mu and a building area of 11000 square meters. The hospital has 268 employees, including 45 with the title of deputy senior officer or above and 200 beds. The hospital has 23 clinical and medical technology departments, including orthopedics, burns, internal medicine, obstetrics and Gynecology, general surgery, and ENT. Among them, orthopedics, burns, and obstetrics and gynecology are the leading disciplines, enjoying a high reputation in the city's medical institutions.
