Shandong Medical Technician College is located at the foot of the world-famous Mount Tai, under the management of Shandong Provincial Department of human resources and social security. Founded in 1977, the college was named as "national key technical school" in 2004, promoted to Shandong senior technical school of traditional Chinese medicine in 2005, and rebuilt to Shandong Medical Technician College with the approval of Shandong provincial government in 2009.

The college now covers an area of more than 537 mu, with a construction area of 180000 square meters.
