Qiannan Medical College for Nationalities

Qiannan Medical College for nationalities was founded in November 1985. It is a full-time general college approved by the Ministry of education. It is one of the first batch of "excellent doctor education and training plan" reform pilot colleges of the Ministry of education and the Ministry of health of the people's Republic of China. The school has two campuses, Yungong and Daping. Yungong campus is located in Duyun City, the "national excellent tourist city", covering an area of 400 mu. The new campus is located in Duyun Economic Development Zone, covering an area of 1350 mu. The first phase covers an area of 850 mu, with an investment of 1.066 billion yuan. At present, the school has more than 72 million yuan of teaching equipment, 499000 paper books and 450000 electronic books. There are 513 teaching staff, including 399 full-time teachers, 133 teachers above deputy high school and 121 teachers above master's degree.

The school consists of medical department, nursing department, pharmacy department, medical laboratory department, medical imaging technology department, basic medicine department, public course teaching department, clinical skills training center, higher education and adult continuing education department. It mainly carries out three-year junior college, five-year junior high school junior college, secondary vocational education, adult continuing education and medical vocational skills training and appraisal.

At present, there are 9 enrollment majors in clinical medicine, nursing, pharmacy, traditional Chinese medicine, traditional Chinese medicine pharmaceutical technology, medical laboratory technology, medical imaging technology, stomatology technology, and drug business and management, which are oriented to 24 provinces (cities, autonomous regions) in China. There are more than 11000 students, including 9700 full-time students. Every year, the employment rate of graduates is more than 92%. At present, nearly 40000 medical and health talents have been transferred to the society.

The university undertakes one teaching reform project of the Ministry of education, two key majors supported by the Ministry of finance, two provincial characteristic majors, three provincial excellent courses and four provincial laboratories; it has seven national, provincial and state-level training bases, two 3A affiliated hospitals and 82 teaching practice bases. The general library of traditional Chinese medicine is the excellent campus culture education base of Guizhou Province, which is awarded the third excellent achievement award of campus culture construction in Guizhou Province. The university has established friendly and cooperative relations with more than 10 first-class medical colleges and universities, including Peking University Medical Department, Guangzhou University of traditional Chinese medicine and Sun Yat Sen Medical University in Taiwan. Since 2014, 3 and 18 students have been studying in Canada and Sun Yat Sen Medical University in Taiwan.

In recent years, one teacher has won the second prize in the second Guizhou young college teachers' teaching competition, one counselor has won the second prize and the best blog single prize in the second Guizhou Provincial College Counselors' professional ability competition, and two teachers have won the second and third prizes of Qiannan science and Technology Progress Award respectively. Many students have won the first, second and third prizes in the provincial nursing skills competition and national nursing skills competition, and participated in the national nursing skills competition on behalf of Guizhou. In 2015, he won the first prize of the Provincial College Students' Constitution on-site knowledge competition, the first prize of the fourth national aerobics dance competition in Guizhou Province, and the first prize of the tenth college students' micro video competition in Guizhou Province.
