Anqing Medical and Pharmaceutical College

Anqing Medical College, formerly known as anqing health school, can be traced back to the "Anhui Provincial Lihuang senior midwifery nursing vocational school" which was born in 1943 during the war of resistance against Japan. It is the first public medical education school in Anhui Province. In March 2007, with the approval of the Ministry of education and the people's Government of Anhui Province, it was upgraded to Anqing Medical College, which filled the gap of medical higher education in Southwest Anhui. In 2012, it successfully passed the Ministry of education's "talent training assessment of Higher Vocational Colleges". Since 2005, the school has won the title of "national civilized unit" for three consecutive times.

At present, the school has four teaching departments, including clinical medicine department, pharmacy department, nursing department and public basic department, nine party and government management departments and auxiliary teaching institutions. It has one directly affiliated hospital (anqing traditional Chinese medicine hospital), two non directly affiliated hospitals (anqing first people's Hospital and Anqing Petrochemical hospital), Navy anqing hospital, Huaibei Mining Group General Hospital and Suzhou Municipal Hospital And other 5 teaching hospitals, including PLA 301 Hospital, 302 Hospital, Huashan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, Huangpu Hospital Affiliated to Sun Yat sen University, Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Medical College, First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University, Anqing Municipal Hospital, Yangzijiang Pharmaceutical Group, Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceutical Group, and other 114 internship bases.

The school has excellent conditions and complete service facilities. It covers an area of 420000 square meters (630 mu), a building area of 140000 square meters, and the total value of teaching equipment is more than 30 million yuan. The teaching staff of the school meets the needs of teaching, and the echelon structure is reasonable. At present, there are 616 medical staff, including 242 full-time teachers. There are 62 full-time teachers with senior professional titles such as professor (chief physician), associate professor (deputy chief physician), and 64 teachers with master's degree or above. At present, there are 13 specialties in three categories of medicine and nursing, with nearly 8000 full-time students.

The school takes "quality engineering construction" as the starting point, and the teaching quality is constantly improved. At present, there are 2 majors supported by the central government to enhance the development ability of professional service industry, 2 training bases supported by the central government, 1 national "11th Five Year Plan" key specialty, 3 provincial characteristic specialties, 3 provincial demonstration training centers, 1 provincial teaching team, 3 provincial higher education revitalization plan projects, 2 provincial excellent resource sharing courses, and provincial school enterprise cooperation practical education One base, one provincial comprehensive reform pilot specialty, and one provincial special fund project for the development of traditional Chinese medicine. He has undertaken dozens of teaching and scientific research projects such as major natural science research projects in Anhui Province and won two second prizes of provincial teaching achievements. There are 27 chief editors and 30 deputy chief editors of planning textbooks of the state and Ministry of health. At present, there are 5 professional leaders of Higher Vocational Colleges in Anhui Province, 2 excellent teachers in Anhui Province, 1 advanced worker in Anhui Province, 1 famous teacher at the provincial level, 2 rookies at the provincial level, and 2 people enjoying special allowance from the municipal government.

At present, the university is a member unit of western education supported by the Ministry of education, vice president unit of national health vocational education rehabilitation technology research association, vice president unit of Chinese traditional medicine Federation, executive director unit of national health Higher Vocational Education Association, continuing education base of pharmaceutical professionals in Anhui Province, and "Red Cross rescue training base" in Anqing city.

In the past 71 years, especially since the college was upgraded, the school has adhered to the school running concept of "scientific positioning, dislocation development, characteristic school running, highlighting advantages", formed certain characteristics and advantages in the construction of medical specialty and the cultivation of medical application-oriented talents, and has cultivated more than 40000 application-oriented medical and health talents for the country.
