Quanzhou Normal University

Quanzhou Normal University is a provincial undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of education.

The school is located in Quanzhou, one of the first batch of famous historical and cultural cities, famous hometown of overseas Chinese and international garden city. There are three campuses in Donghai, Chongfu and Shishan. Donghai campus is located at the confluence of Jinshui and Luoshui, with the river and the sea. Chongfu campus is located at the south foot of Qingyuan mountain, a national scenic spot, overlooking the city and enjoying the scenery of QUANNAN. Shishan campus is located at Gaogai mountain in the South and pengfeng in the north. It is a new modern university based in Quanzhou, facing Fujian, radiating the whole country, integrating general education and special education, integrating pre service training and post service training, and developing both normal education and non normal education.

The school covers an area of 1268 mu, with more than 12000 full-time students and 1120 teaching staff, including 629 full-time teachers. Among the full-time teachers, there are 246 professors and associate professors, 254 with master's degree or above, including 57 doctoral students. The total value of teaching equipment is 91.7 million yuan. The library has 1.2 million books and 900000 e-books.

The school now has 11 colleges and a software talent training base, including College of humanities, College of foreign languages, College of science and technology, College of resources and Environmental Sciences, College of chemistry and Life Sciences, Chen Shouren College of business information, College of Educational Sciences, College of art, College of physical education, College of higher vocational technology, College of continuing education, etc. It has set up 37 full-time undergraduate majors, including Chinese language and literature, international economy and trade, to recruit students nationwide. It covers eight subjects of economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering and management.

In 2004, the university successfully passed the undergraduate teaching evaluation of the Ministry of education, and became one of the first three universities to accept and pass the evaluation among the 198 newly established universities in China. The school has won the titles of "national advanced unit of campus environment and culture construction", "national advanced unit of social practice", "provincial civilized school", "provincial advanced educational administration office", "provincial advanced University of Party construction and ideological and political work", "Quanzhou Garden School", etc.

Over the years, the university has always adhered to the guiding ideology of "taking teaching work as the center, undergraduate teaching as the main body, teaching reform as the driving force, and improving the teaching level as the goal". School graduates are widely praised by employers. In 2005, the employment rate of Quanzhou Normal University graduates reached 95.12%, of which the employment rate of normal university graduates reached 98.29%.

During the 11th Five Year Plan period, the school's development goals are: to pass the second round of evaluation of undergraduate teaching level by the Ministry of education in 2009 and reach a good level; to strive for the right to confer master's degree and apply for approval of 10 master's programs; to resume Quanzhou University.
