Shanghai Publishing and Printing College

Founded in 1953, the university is the earliest publishing and Printing College in New China. It enjoys a high reputation in the industry and is the only college jointly built by the Ministry and the city in China. Over the past 60 years, it has trained tens of thousands of high-level backbone and senior management talents for China's Publishing and printing industry. In 2005, it was designated as the "national printing and publishing talent training base" by the State Administration of press, publication, radio, film and television; in 2010, it was listed as one of the country's 100 Backbone Construction Vocational Colleges; in the same year, it was recognized as the construction unit of the national higher vocational education professional teaching resource database (printing and digital printing technology). Shanghai Publishing and printing college is the cradle of China's publishing and printing personnel training, known as the "Huangpu Military Academy" of China's publishing and printing industry. In 2015, our students won the silver medal in the 43rd World Skills Competition "print media project".

Over the years of inheritance and accumulation, three professional groups of "printing engineering and packaging design", "publishing communication and cultural management" and "art design and film animation" have been formed, which are interpenetrated with industry, culture and art and have distinctive characteristics. The university has built world-class experimental and training facilities, including 24 experimental and training bases, including modern communication science experimental center (Key Laboratory of the State Administration of press and Publication), National Digital Printing Engineering Research Center, modern printing training center (Shanghai public printing training base), Sino Italian printing training center and digital printing training center. It has a joint training room set up by founder of Peking University, Cleo, Agfa and other enterprises, and has 120 teaching practice bases with relevant research institutions and enterprises. More than 20 units, such as Taofen foundation, Komori printing company of Japan, Manroland printing company of Germany, Shanghai printing group, Shanghai banknote printing group, Shanghai Yinbao group and Yachang printing group, have set up special scholarships in the University.

At present, the university has more than 60 professors and associate professors, nearly 20 doctors and masters who graduated from famous universities in China and studied in Germany, the United Kingdom and Russia, as well as famous experts and teachers in the publishing and printing industry.
