1、 Basic information

Anhui Wenda College of information engineering is located at the foot of Zipeng Mountain and the Bank of Yanwan lake, a national 4A scenic spot in Hefei city. It is a full-time undergraduate university sponsored by Anhui Wenda group and approved by the Ministry of education. Professor Yang Zhenning, the winner of the world Nobel Prize in physics, has visited the college twice to guide the work and inscribed the name of the college himself.

At present, the college has more than 12100 full-time students, including nine secondary colleges, including the school of computer engineering, the school of electronic engineering, the school of mechanical and electrical engineering, the school of automotive engineering, the school of Finance and economics, the school of new media art, the school of foreign languages, the school of architectural engineering, the school of film and television media, three public teaching departments, three research institutes, one engineering training center and one college of continuing education. There is a national vocational skill appraisal institute and a provincial demonstration experimental training center.

The college covers an area of 730000 square meters, with 280000 square meters of school buildings. The total value of teaching and scientific research equipment is 61.8 million yuan. There are 87 laboratories and training workshops, 98 multimedia classrooms, 12 voice classrooms and 62 off campus practice bases. It has more than 1 million books, 480 Chinese and foreign periodicals and newspapers, and 7 electronic literature databases. Sports venues, gymnasiums and other sports facilities are available.

The college has 612 full-time teachers and 118 part-time teachers. Among the full-time teachers, there are 41 professors and 132 associate professors. Five people enjoy special subsidies from the State Council and the provincial government, and 20 serve as presidents, vice presidents or secretaries general of national and provincial academic organizations.

2、 School running characteristics

After 12 years of construction and development, the school has formed its own distinctive characteristics

（1） A discipline system with information discipline as the support and engineering major as the main body has been established

The school has 49 majors in computer science and technology, software engineering, electronic information engineering, communication engineering, mechanical design and manufacturing and automation, industrial design, automobile service engineering, animation, visual communication design, business English, financial management, civil engineering, landscape architecture, performance, broadcasting and hosting, auditing, e-commerce, Internet of things engineering, etc Nearly 70% of them are engineering majors. It has established a discipline system with information discipline as the support, engineering major as the main body and coordinated development of engineering, management, arts and culture.

（2） The school running mode of school enterprise cooperation and combination of production, teaching and research has been formed

Closely relying on the provincial machinery, software, electronics, mold and other industry associations and related enterprises, the university has formed the industry university research cooperation Steering Committee, and 62 large and medium-sized enterprises, including Anhui Yingliu group, Midea, Great Wall refrigeration, Changhe Automobile, and Hongxing Machinery, have joined in, forming a school enterprise cooperation and industry university research cooperation mode. The school holds a plenary meeting every year to discuss personnel training and school development, arrange students to practice in relevant enterprises, organize teachers to participate in enterprise technology research, and jointly apply for projects with enterprises.

Over the past five years, the school teachers have solved more than 10 technical problems for 8 enterprises, including Hefei Ruijin Digital Technology Co., Ltd. and Hefei Wanxin Information Engineering Co., Ltd., and jointly applied for and approved 6 provincial natural science research projects with Anhui Yingliu group and Hefei Kezhen Industrial Co., Ltd.

（3） The teaching reform of integration of theory and practice has been carried out

In order to cultivate high-level applied, compound and innovative talents, the school has carried out the integrated teaching reform of combining theory with practice while continuously optimizing the curriculum and selecting "double qualified" teachers. Many courses, especially professional courses, are put into laboratories and training workshops, and some are put into enterprises, so that students can listen, watch and do at the same time. At the same time, it innovates the evaluation system of students' academic performance, focuses on the application ability assessment, and changes the single evaluation method of closed book examination in the past. The teaching reform of the integration of theory and practice makes students "do" in "learning" and "learn" in "doing", stimulates their interest in learning, expands their innovative thinking, and promotes the improvement of the quality of applied talents training, which is welcomed by students.

3、 School running achievements

After more than ten years of construction and development, the school has made a number of landmark achievements

——In 2005, the Ministry of education, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of information industry of the people's Republic of China designated the school as the national training base for talents in shortage of computer application and software technology, and allocated 3.2 million yuan of special funds for the construction of the base.

——In 2008, the University won the "excellent" grade in the national evaluation of talent cultivation in Colleges and universities.

——From 2008 to 2010, the university has been approved 21 quality engineering projects in Colleges and universities of Anhui Province, including 6 provincial characteristic majors.

——From 2011 to 2012, on the basis of the first three years of continuous evaluation as "advanced collective of employment work for college graduates in Anhui Province", the University won the title of "model unit of employment work for college graduates in Anhui Province" for two consecutive years. The employment of graduates of our university presents the characteristics of "three highs". First, the employment rate is high, which has been maintained at more than 98%; second, the professional counterpart rate is high, which has reached more than 70%; third, the salary is high, and the average annual income of students is higher than that of graduates of the same level by more than 20%.

——In 2012, the school won the title of "Hefei garden unit".

——From 2010 to 2013, the university has been rated as the excellent unit of annual inspection of private colleges and universities in Anhui Province for four consecutive years.

——In 2013, the university has made fruitful achievements in applying for Anhui Provincial Education revitalization plan project and university quality engineering project. It has been approved 4 provincial education revitalization plan projects, 21 university quality engineering projects, 20 university students' entrepreneurship projects, and 6.17 million yuan of provincial project funds.
