Shanxi Forestry Vocational and technical college, formerly known as Shanxi forestry school, was established in 1952. In April 2002, approved by the people's Government of Shanxi Province and put on record by the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China, it was restructured and promoted to a public higher vocational and technical college at the junior college level.
