Hunan Medical College

Hunan Medical College is a national public full-time undergraduate college of general medicine. It was founded in Changsha (Renshu nursing school) in 1924, upgraded to Huaihua Medical College in 2000, and upgraded to Hunan Medical College in 2014 with the approval of the Ministry of education. The school covers an area of 1635.03 mu, with a total building area of 225000 square meters. The university now enrolls students from 26 provinces, cities and autonomous regions in China, with more than 7200 full-time college students.

The school has 519 full-time teachers, including 61 professors, 43 other teachers with senior titles, 64 associate professors, 94 other teachers with deputy senior titles, 24 doctors and 264 masters. There are medical morphology experimental center, human function experimental center, pharmaceutical experimental center, medical laboratory experimental center, medical skills training center, acupuncture and massage training center, computer center, biomedical research center laboratory, Huaihua modern research center of traditional Chinese medicine, Dong Medicine Research Institute, cancer prevention and treatment institute and higher education research room. It is the national examination base for clinical skills of medical practitioners.
