Shanxi pharmaceutical vocational college is an ordinary higher vocational college organized by the people's Government of Shanxi Province, which is subordinate to the provincial food and drug administration. The predecessor of the college is Shanxi Traditional Chinese medicine school and Shanxi biological application vocational and technical college.

There are 18 training bases in the school, 1 training base supported by the central government, 4 provincial demonstration training bases, 6 provincial training base construction reserve projects, and more than 110 training bases outside the school.
