Shijiazhuang Vocational College of industry and commerce is a full-time higher vocational college approved by Hebei provincial government and registered by the Ministry of education. The predecessor of the college is Hebei publishing college founded by the Communist Youth League Hebei Provincial Committee in October 1983. It was renamed Hebei Youth Training College in June 1995 and rebuilt into Shijiazhuang Business Vocational College in May 2003.

The college is located on the Bank of Minxin River in southwest high school district of Shijiazhuang, the provincial capital. It has beautiful scenery with weeping willows and green waves; colleges and universities gather here with rich humanistic atmosphere; it is adjacent to Shijiazhuang station with convenient transportation. The college covers an area of 270000 square meters, with a building area of 83000 square meters. It has modern teaching buildings, libraries, apartments, canteens, supermarkets, bathrooms, infirmaries and other facilities, and has good learning and living conditions.

The college consists of five secondary colleges: School of management, School of business, School of engineering, School of architecture and art, School of Entrepreneurship (e-commerce), forming a professional group of rail transit, automation, automobile, electronic information, architectural design, engineering management, financial accounting, marketing, e-commerce, business administration, tourism management, air crew, art design, etc. In 2016, 42 majors were recruited nationwide.

In recent years, the college has strengthened the connotation construction and constantly improved the quality of education and teaching. Around the needs of regional social and economic development, we dynamically adjust the professional structure, form a more reasonable professional layout, adhere to the school enterprise cooperation and collaborative education, and realize the seamless connection between cultivating talents and students' employment. We should implement the teaching mode of combining work with study and integrating learning with doing, highlight the cultivation of students' ability and quality, promote the "double certificate" system of academic certificate and vocational qualification certificate, strengthen the construction of training room and training base outside the school, and steadily improve the quality of education and teaching. In 2015, the employment rate of graduates reached 97.03%.
