College profile:

Jiangsu agriculture and Forestry Vocational and technical college, founded in 1923, is a state-owned public full-time ordinary university and the only National Demonstrative Vocational College of agriculture in Jiangsu Province. The main campus of the college is located in Jurong City, a national excellent tourist city in the eastern suburb of Nanjing. It covers an area of 3312 Mu and has more than 12000 students. The sub campus is adjacent to Nanjing Jiangning University City and has a beautiful environment. The college has been listed as the visiting unit of the national vocational education conference, the visiting unit of the training base construction of Higher Vocational Colleges in Jiangsu Province, and the organizer of the sixth farmers' games in Jiangsu Province.

Faculty: the college has a strong faculty, with 697 staff, 171 of whom have the title of deputy senior or above (17 professors and researchers). The proportion of double qualified teachers is 71%. Five teachers hold positions in national academic groups, two experts enjoy the special allowance of the State Council, and five "333" training objects in Jiangsu Province.

Training conditions: our college has advanced training conditions, with a national student training base covering an area of more than 2500 Mu Jiangsu agriculture and forestry science and technology demonstration park and a 2000 mu Gaomiao agricultural leisure ecological park. At the same time, the school has built CNC, e-commerce, food processing, computer and other large training centers.

Further study: Our College actively encourages sophomores and juniors to "transfer from college to university" and study in corresponding undergraduate colleges, with the admission rate at the forefront of higher vocational colleges. In 2008, the provincial education and Examination Institute opened the "college to college" mode. Students can enter the undergraduate stage one year before graduation, and they can obtain the corresponding undergraduate diploma one year after graduation.

Specialty features: our college has a complete range of specialties, including 8 departments of landscape architecture, agronomy, animal husbandry and veterinary, bioengineering, information engineering, mechanical and electrical engineering, economic and trade, social science and art, and 65 specialties and professional directions. The major setting focuses on the zero distance connection between the demand of modern agriculture and employment posts, with good employment prospects and large development space. At the same time, it pays attention to the cultivation of students' practical ability, and graduates are engaged in technical work.
