Hubei College of Chinese Medicine

Hubei College of traditional Chinese medicine is a public full-time college approved by the Ministry of education. It is located in Jingzhou, a famous historical and cultural city in China. The school integrates modern education, medical research and clinical medicine. Good campus environment, advanced teaching facilities, excellent teaching staff and scientific management level have formed a good school tradition and good school spirit. In order to improve the school running conditions, the school started the construction of a new campus in 2004, with a new land acquisition of 500 mu. The first phase of the project includes teaching building, experimental building, library, administrative building, student apartment and canteen, with a total construction area of about 150000 square meters. It has been fully started and put into use in 2006. At present, there are 598 teaching staff. It has a high-quality teaching staff with high academic level, reasonable professional title structure and strong teaching and research ability. Among the 308 full-time teachers, there are more than 100 professors and associate professors. The school mainly focuses on three-year general junior college education, and appropriately provides five-year general junior college education and adult undergraduate education starting from junior middle school. At present, there are more than 8000 students. The school takes medical education as the main body, highlights the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine, and coordinates the development of Chinese and Western medicine. The school has six departments, including Department of traditional Chinese medicine, Department of medical treatment, Department of nursing, Department of public foundation, Department of medical foundation and Department of continuing education. At present, the general specialties include clinical medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, nursing, midwifery, integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine, bone injury of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture and massage, traditional Chinese medicine, Stomatology, medical electronic instruments and maintenance, which are open to the whole country. In the long-term teaching practice, the school pays attention to the "Three Basics" education of basic theory, basic knowledge and basic skills, vigorously carries out quality education and rich and colorful student association activities, and promotes the all-round development of students. Over the past 50 years, more than 50000 college and secondary school graduates have been trained. Most of the graduates have become the backbone of the medical and health system, and have made outstanding contributions to serving the local economy. The University strives to build a "Overpass" for talent cultivation. According to the regulations of Hubei Provincial Department of education, it recommends excellent college students to apply for regular undergraduate colleges and continue to study for regular undergraduate courses.
