Ya'an vocational and technical college is located in Ya'an City, which is known as "the source of panda family, the source of world tea" and "national corridor". With more than 60 years of cultural heritage, the college has accumulated rich school running resources, experience and strong strength. In 2015, it passed the construction acceptance of provincial demonstrative higher vocational colleges and won the excellent grade.

The college has one campus and two centers, namely Qingnian Road Campus, training and service center in Ya'an economic development zone and clinical medical center in Yucai Road, covering an area of 837 mu, with more than 13000 students.

There are more than 400 full-time teachers, complete teaching and logistics service facilities, 23 training rooms (centers) and more than 130 multimedia classrooms. There are two national vocational education training bases of nursing and pharmacy, and more than 230 teaching practice bases inside and outside the province.

With the advantages of medical and health majors, the college has its own characteristics and coordinated development in mechanical design and manufacturing, electronic information, finance and commerce, tourism and education majors. It has eight teaching departments and a comprehensive secondary Class-A Affiliated Hospital, and more than 50 higher vocational majors. The major of medical imaging technology and preschool education are characteristic majors in short supply supported by the central government. The major of medical imaging technology, nursing and pharmacy are provincial key majors.
