Qianxinan vocational and technical college for nationalities is located in Xingyi City, Qianxinan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture. It is a higher vocational school, which was approved by the people's Government of Guizhou Province in January 2004 and combined by Qianxinan agricultural school, water conservancy and electric power school, agricultural mechanization school, finance and trade school and health school. In October 2008, with the approval of Guizhou Provincial Committee of democracy and religion, Qianxinan ethnic Administrative College of Guizhou Province was established The polytechnic school was merged into the college. In June 2011, the people's Government of Guizhou Province approved the people's Government of Qianxinan prefecture to establish Qianxinan Technician College Based on the college.

Covering an area of 797.32 mu, the college is divided into two campuses, including eight teaching departments, including bioengineering, mechanical and electronic engineering, water conservancy and power engineering, business, medicine, nursing, security, mountain tourism, continuing education and training department, and Qianxinan ethnic secondary vocational school. Now there are 23 Higher Vocational Majors in animal husbandry and veterinary, computer network technology, power system automation technology, accounting, pharmacy, nursing, etc. There are 477 in-service staff and 386 full-time teachers, including 1 doctoral candidate, 85 master candidates, 8 senior professional titles and 120 deputy senior professional titles. There are 12000 full-time students. There are 50 national, provincial and hospital level training bases for biotechnology engineering, nursing, pharmacy, midwifery and power system automation technology, and 67 off campus training bases. It has the 107 National Vocational Skill Appraisal Institute, the Spark School of the Ministry of science and technology and the Ministry of agriculture, and has the three-level qualification of safety training in Guizhou Province and the three-level qualification of coal mine safety training in Guizhou Province. Nearly 70000 people have received training from industry departments and vocational skills, and more than 4000 people have obtained vocational skill appraisal grade certificate and qualification certificate.
