Chengdu Vocational College of agricultural science and technology

Chengdu Vocational College of agricultural science and technology is an ordinary university approved by Sichuan Provincial People's government. Founded in 1958, the college is the first higher vocational college sponsored by Chengdu Municipal People's government and the only agricultural Based Higher Vocational College in Sichuan Province.

In the course of running a school for more than 50 years, the college has always attached its emotion to "agriculture, countryside and farmers", its ideal to the countryside, its classroom to the field, and its outlet to innovation. In 2006, the college was awarded "excellent" in the national talent training evaluation of Higher Vocational Colleges organized by the Ministry of education. In 2014, it was rated as a provincial demonstrative higher vocational college. Now, the college further defines the next development goal of building a domestic first-class agricultural higher vocational college with agriculture as the main body and distinctive characteristics.

Covering an area of 441 mu, the college has seven branches, including garden and Horticulture Branch, modern agriculture branch, animal husbandry and veterinary branch, information technology branch, economic management branch, urban and rural construction branch, and electromechanical technology branch, with 44 majors. It has an average annual enrollment of more than 3000 ordinary Vocational college students, with more than 10000 students.

At present, there are 551 faculty members in the college, including 12 professors (researchers), 190 masters and above, and 266 "double qualified" teachers. In addition, it also brings together many modern business management elites and technical experts as visiting professors and part-time teachers.
