Guangdong Vocational College of Finance and Economics

Guangdong Vocational College of Finance and Economics (formerly Guangdong College of Finance and taxation) is a public full-time ordinary college approved by the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China and supervised by the Department of finance of Guangdong Province. It is located at the north foot of the beautiful Baiyun Mountain scenic spot in Guangzhou. With convenient transportation, beautiful scenery and elegant environment, it has a solid foundation for running a school and good teaching atmosphere. It is the only college in Guangdong Province at present 11 Financial Institutions of higher learning.

The predecessor of the college is Guangdong Adult College of Finance and economics, which was established in 1980. It was rebuilt as Guangdong College of Finance and taxation in 1995 and renamed as Guangdong Vocational College of Finance and economics in July 2001. In the course of more than 20 years of running a school, the college has formed a school running feature focusing on financial skills education, focusing on cultivating students' ability to operate, guide and manage in the front line of financial industry, so as to meet the needs of local economic construction and social development in Guangdong Province for talents. The college has complete teaching and living facilities, including teaching building, library, administration building, cadre training building and other teaching and office facilities; it has a gymnasium and a standard 400m plastic track stadium, tennis court and swimming pool; it has a clean and spacious teachers' canteen and students' canteen to provide a good office, sports and living environment for teachers and students.  

The college has six departments: finance and taxation, accounting, economy and trade, asset investment management, information management, cultural application and communication. With finance and accounting as the leading major, the college has set up 15 majors including finance and taxation, tax agency and planning, accounting, business English, finance, computer technology, e-commerce technology, marketing, business secretary, etc. according to the market demand.  

The college is the designated training base of the Ministry of finance, the continuing education base of civil servants in Guangdong Province, the designated training unit of accounting qualification examination directly under the provincial government, the outstanding training unit of accounting professional and technical qualification examination in Guangzhou, and the designated pre examination training unit of certified public accountants. In the new century, Guangdong Vocational College of Finance and economics is making great efforts to build the college into a well-known financial university with distinctive characteristics by using advanced teaching facilities, scientific management system, rigorous work style and innovative enterprising spirit, so as to make due contributions to the construction of a strong education province in Guangdong.  

The college is located at the northern foot of Baiyun Mountain, surrounded by mountains, with pleasant scenery. The campus covers an area of 88000 square meters, with two campuses, with a total construction area of 48000 square meters. The beautiful campus is full of strong cultural atmosphere, providing a good learning, working and living environment for teachers and students.
