According to CCTV news, the shenzhou-12 manned mission press conference was held at Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center this (16th) morning. Ji Qiming, assistant director of China's manned space engineering, said at the press conference that Tianhe core module and tianzhou-2 combination are in good condition and meet the requirements for rendezvous and docking with shenzhou-12 and the entry of astronauts.
After entering orbit, Tianhe core module and tianzhou-2 cargo spacecraft have completed 42 tests in 9 categories according to the plan, mainly including the basic functions of the platform, rendezvous and docking, astronaut residence, robot arm crawling and in orbit identification, extravehicular function and scientific experiment cabinet. Tianhe core module and tianzhou-2 assembly are in good condition, and the platform equipment is working normally. The assembly has been adjusted to a near circular docking orbit with an altitude of about 390 km, and the rendezvous and docking attitude and manned environment have been established. After analysis, it is confirmed that the combination meets the requirements of rendezvous and docking with Shenzhou 12 and the entry of astronauts.
Tianhe core module provides three times as much space for astronauts as tiangong-2 space laboratory, and is equipped with three independent bedrooms and one bathroom to ensure the daily life of astronauts. In terms of space food, more than 120 kinds of space food with balanced nutrition, rich varieties, good taste and long shelf life are provided. The dining area is equipped with food heating, cold storage and drinking water equipment, as well as folding table, which is convenient for astronauts to eat. The exercise area is equipped with space running platform and space bicycle for daily exercise of astronauts. The two-way video communication and e-mail between the space station and the ground can be realized through the space communication link and video communication equipment. In terms of manned environment control, compared with previous manned missions, the core module of the space station is equipped with a regenerative life support system, including subsystems such as electrolytic oxygen generation, condensate water collection and treatment, urine treatment, carbon dioxide removal, and trace harmful gas removal, which can realize the recycling of water and other consumable resources and ensure the long-term stay of astronauts in orbit.
