[synonym] jinfocao, baizhihu (classified herbal medicine), xuanfugang, huanghuacao (Suzhou native medicine), bupleurum and huangchaihu (Chongqing herbal medicine).

[source] the stems and leaves of Compositae plants, such as Convolvulus, Convolvulus linearis, Convolvulus macrocephala, etc. The plant morphology is detailed in the "Convolvulus" section.

[medicinal material] the dried stems and leaves are 30-60 cm long. The surface of the stems is yellowish brown to purple black with fine longitudinal lines and dots at the base.
