Changzhou Information Vocational and technical college is the first information vocational and technical college in Jiangsu Province, which is subordinate to Jiangsu Economic and Information Commission. The college has a history of more than 50 years. It was founded in 1962, initially known as Changzhou Qinye electromechanical school. In 1980, it was renamed Changzhou radio industry school. In October 2000, with the approval of Jiangsu Provincial People's government, Changzhou radio industry school and Changzhou electronic workers University were merged to establish Changzhou Information Vocational and technical college. The college is located in Changzhou, the most economically developed hinterland of the Yangtze River Delta in China. It is located in Changzhou Higher Vocational park with beautiful scenery and modern atmosphere, integrating teaching, scientific research, training, vocational skill appraisal and social service. In recent years, the college has seized opportunities, sought development and promoted promotion. In 2003, the college was established by the Ministry of education as a national model software vocational and technical college. In 2004, the college passed the Ministry of education's talent training assessment with excellent results. In 2005, the college won the national advanced unit of vocational education. In 2006, the college was established as the key construction unit of provincial demonstrative higher vocational colleges by the Provincial Department of education. From 2007 to 2009, the Ministry of education and the Ministry of finance established it as the construction unit of national model higher vocational colleges. In 2010, the college passed the acceptance of national demonstration construction with excellent results, and passed a new round of talent training assessment in higher vocational colleges. At present, there are 37 majors, with nearly 11000 full-time students, more than 600 teaching staff, 475 full-time teachers and more than 500 part-time teachers (Libraries). Among professional teachers, the proportion of double quality teachers is 81%. As a high skilled talent training demonstration base of the Ministry of labor and social security, the Ministry of industry and information technology, and a national software and information service outsourcing talent training base, the college has three national level vocational training bases with advanced technology and excellent equipment, and five provincial level vocational training bases. At present, the college has 4 national excellent courses and 22 provincial excellent courses. It has won 2 second prizes of national teaching achievements, 1 special prize of provincial teaching achievements, 5 first prizes and 5 second prizes. It has 8 national key construction majors, 12 provincial key construction majors, 24 teaching materials of the 12th Five year plan of the Ministry of education, 1 national excellent teaching material and 23 provincial excellent teaching materials. The college has carried out extensive and in-depth cooperation and exchanges with more than 10 foreign universities, including South Korea University, Nanyang Institute of technology in Singapore, and Indian Institute of international information technology. Every year, teachers are selected to go abroad for training. The college has established the alliance of Japanese, Korean, Taiwan and private enterprises. In recent years, the college has explored the school running mode of "one school, two parks" and practiced the talent training mode of "three supports, three in one" combining work and study.
