According to Ben Cao Zheng Yi, Hemerocallis fulva is a kind of constant food and has the nature of cooling and descending. In Rihua, it is used to treat red and astringent urination and irritating heat; Su Song, it is used to benefit the chest and the five zang organs; and Linhu, it is used to eliminate food and damp heat. Nowadays, people always treat the rise of Qi and fire, and sleep at night, which is quite effective. "
