[plant morphology] Oxytropis glabra

Perennial herbs, 20-30 cm high. Branching, erect or spreading, hirsute. Stipules oblong ovate, base connate, separated from petiole, sparsely hairy; odd pinnate compound leaves, leaflets 9-13, oblong, 7-18 mm long, 2-6 mm wide, apex acuminate, pointed, base rounded, glabrous above, sparsely pilose below. Raceme axillary, flowers sparse; pedicel 5-9 cm long, usually longer than leaves; calyx tubular, about 5 mm long, 2 mm wide, sparsely pilose, calyx teeth strip; corolla purple, about 7 mm long, flag obovate, apex nearly truncate, shallow concave or apical, keel about 5 mm long, apex beaked; ovary and style glabrous. Pods drooping, long oval, swollen, with a curved beak at the top, 1-1.7 cm long, 4-7 mm wide, densely pubescent, flowering from June to July. The fruit period is from August to September.

It grows on the river beach, Lake Basin, grass beach and salt evolution soil in desert area. Distributed in Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Shanxi and other places.
