The spike is on the top of the stem, opposite to the leaf, with 4 white petal bracts at the base; the flower is small, without perianth, with 1 Linear bract; the stamen is 3, the lower part of the filament is connate with the ovary; the carpel is 3, the lower part is connate. Capsule ovoid, apex dehiscent. The flowering period is from May to August and the fruiting period is from July to October.
