Body length is about 50 cm. Mouth black, base with dark blue, yellow green wax film. The iris is golden. The forehead and neck are dark slate gray. White feather base; white eyebrow lines above eyes, black feather shaft; black ear feather; slate gray covering on shoulder, back, waist and tail, white transverse spots on shoulder and tail; dark grayish brown flying feather with dark brown transverse spots; gray white patches on the inner surface; grayish brown tail with wide dark brown transverse spots, and gray edge.
