Zhu Beiting

Zhu Beiting is a two-story Pavilion style building, towering over the first peak of Moxian mountain. It is built in memory of Zhu De's inscription on the East Lake. It was built in 1978 and completed in 1982.

brief introduction

Moshan is located on the East Bank of the East Lake, surrounded by water on three sides and connected by six peaks. It is known as "ten mile long lake, eight mile Moshan". In the north of the mountain, there is a Chu culture tourism area with Chu culture as its connotation; in the south of the mountain, there are 13 botanical gardens with plants in the lake area; in the west of the mountain, there is Zhu Beiting, which commemorates Zhu De's inscription on the East Lake. Starting from the north, Moshan scenic area has four scenic spots in turn, including chutianjimu, Tiantai Chenxi, Changchun Garden, Zhubei shucui, etc. It's a good place for Wuhan citizens to spend their holidays.

The pavilion is a reinforced concrete imitation wood building. The main Pavilion is 2L meters high, with four corners on the second floor, a pointed roof, green tile single eaves, red painted columns, and a railing around the second floor. The building area is 157 square meters. On the front of the pavilion is a plaque inscribed by Guo Moruo. Its ancillary buildings are corridors and exhibition rooms, with an area of 311 square meters. In front of Zhu Beiting, there is an inscription on Zhu De's tour of the East Lake in 1954: "the East Lake is better than the West Lake for the time being, and it will be better than the West Lake in the future. East Lake has very good natural conditions, and with industrial construction, it will certainly be built into a beautiful cultural and scenic area loved by the working people. " The words are carved on white marble, and the marble tablet is inlaid on the irregular red stone. The monument is about 3.5 meters high. There is a natural stone tablet in front of the pavilion, engraved with the inscription of chairman Zhu De's inspection of the East Lake in March 1954: "the East Lake is better than the West Lake for the time being, and will be better than the West Lake in the future.". The three characters of "Zhu Beiting" are written by Guo Moruo in calligraphy, which is vigorous and majestic. The orchid room under the pavilion is full of fragrance and has a long aftertaste. It records Mr. Zhu's noble virtues of loving, cultivating and being as clean as orchid. From the pavilion, you can have a panoramic view of the East Lake.
