[synonyms] watermelon green (Susheng Zhongmiao recipe), watermelon Cuiyi (clinical guide medical records), watermelon green (collection of medicinal materials).

[source] the peel of watermelon, a Cucurbitaceae plant. For plant morphology, please refer to "watermelon".

[collection] in summer, watermelon skin was collected, the soft part of inner layer was cut off, washed and dried. There are also those who cut off the outer green skin and only take the middle part.

[herbal medicine] the dried pericarp is thin and curly, tubular or irregular in shape, of different sizes, with yellowish green to dark brown appearance and reticular vascular bundles on the inner surface. It is brittle and easy to break. If the outer layer of green skin is removed, it is irregular and often curly. The surface is grayish yellow with obvious wrinkles and reticular vascular bundles.
