Erect perennial herbs. The base is much branched. Stem square, covered with short hairs, 30-50 cm high. Leaves opposite, petiolate, ovate, 1.6-2 cm long, apex acute, base extended to the middle of petiole, margin serrate, sparsely short hairy above, hairy below vein. Cyme terminal, panicle arrangement, 6 flowers per round; bracts ovate; calyx campanulate, apex 5 teeth, upper lip 3 teeth short, lower lip 2 teeth long; corolla purple, upper lip 4-lobed, base abaxially with shallow sac, lower lip boat shaped; stamens 4; style 2-lobed.

Born on the side of the mountain road. It is distributed in Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou.
