Perennial herbs, 30-60 cm high. Rhizome oblique, with many white fine fibrous roots. Stem erect, usually simple. In the middle and upper part of the stem, the leaves are dense, simple and alternate; in the lower part of the stem, the leaves are oblong, the apex is obtuse, the others are linear lanceolate to lanceolate, 4-7 cm long and 0.5-1 cm wide, the apex is sharp, the base is heart-shaped or short cuneate, and the edge is serrate.
