Shrubs climbing, stems and leaves nearly glabrous. Leaves green, 1-2-pinnate compound leaves, with slender stalks; pinnae usually 2, with long stalks, 3-out, entire, leaflets ovate or elliptic, 1-4 cm long, sometimes long linear, lanceolate linear, rarely 3-lobed. Inflorescence axillary; flowers yellowish or greenish, rarely reddish outside; sepals ovate lanceolate, 1.5-2 cm long, margin densely short hairy, sometimes hairy inside. Achene ovate, flat; style 3-9 cm long.

In fixed desert, hillside, grassland. Distributed in Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Gansu, Xinjiang and other places.
