[source] it is the root and leaf of Qingming flower.
[plant morphology] Dahua Qingming flower
Evergreen woody rattan with milk like consistency. Leaves simple, opposite, leathery, oblong, 15-20 cm long, 4-7 cm wide, apex acute, base cuneate. Cymes terminal or axillary, flowers large, white; calyx lobes leaflike; corolla funnel-shaped. Follicles large, cylindrical, 15-18 cm long, 3-4 cm in diameter.
Born in the roadside, river valley, Bush. It is distributed in Yunnan, Guangxi and other places.
[collection] all year round. The root slices are dried in the sun, and the leaves are mostly fresh.
[chemical constituents] the seeds contain the following four cardiac glycosides: wallichioside, Qingming anthocyanin, warichioside and oleanoloside C.
[pharmacological action] the pharmacological action of eustachian C is shown in "oleander". The results showed that valiscin, Qingming anthocyanin and warfarin had obvious cardiotonic effect on anesthetized cats.
[flavor] slightly pungent, warm.
Functions and indications: dispel wind and dampness, disperse blood stasis, activate blood circulation, and connect bones. Treatment of fractures, injuries, rheumatic low back and leg pain, lumbar muscle strain, rheumatic arthritis.
[usage and dosage] oral administration: root: decoction, 3-5 yuan; or soaking in wine. External use: tamping bag with fresh leaves.
