[plant morphology] Artemisia ordosica

Subshrub, 50-100 cm high. From the base part of the stem, the branches form clumps, without obvious main stem. The current year branches are purple red, and the old branches are dark gray. Leaves smaller, sessile, pinnately divided, 2-3 pairs of lobes, fleshy, glabrous, linear or filiform, 1.5-3 cm long, 1 mm wide, apex pointed, yellowish green; upper leaves 3-lobed or undivided. The head is oval, arranged in a cone, 2-3 mm in diameter; the involucre is yellow green; all tubular flowers are pale yellow, very small. Achenes small, ovate. Seeds black, long. The flowering period is from July to September. The fruiting period is October.
