Cupule cyme terminal, arranged into umbels; leaflike bracts 5, whorled, lanceolate or oblong ovate; bracts green yellow, heart-shaped ovate or kidney shaped; flowers unisexual, without perianth; most male flowers and one female flower are in cupule involucre, involucre with kidney shaped glands; male flowers have only stamen 1; female flowers are in the center of inflorescence, only pistil 1. Capsule ovoid, smooth, glabrous. Seeds ovoid, ca. 1. 5 mm. The flowering period is from May to June. The fruit period is from June to July.

Born on hillside, gully and grassland. It is distributed in the north, middle and Yunnan of China.
