[collection] mature fruits were collected in autumn and winter and dried in the sun.

[medicinal material] the dried fruit is spherical, brownish black to purple black, with wrinkled or glossy surface, about 5-8 mm in diameter, and some bases are covered with persistent perianth. Pericarp fleshy and thin, containing 1 seed, black. It is fragrant and spicy. It is better to be large, full, dry and free of impurities.
