[plant morphology] fennel garlic

Perennial herbs. The stem is 15-50 cm in height, and the petiole is covered with light yellow hairs. The leaves are broad ovate, 2.6-7.5 cm long, the central leaflet has a long stalk, 3-lobed, the lobes are narrow and long, the upper part has a few irregular serrations, the lateral leaflets have a short stalk, 2-or 3-lobed unequally; the upper part of the stem has gradually smaller leaves. Inflorescence with sparse flowers; sepals 5, pale green, boat shaped, ca. 4 mm long, outside sparsely pilose; petals 5, yellow, broadly obovate, ca. 3.2 mm long, base with honeypot; stamens and carpels numerous. Aggregate fruit suboblong, ca. 1 cm long; achene flat, glabrous.

In streams or wet meadows. It is distributed in Yunnan, Tibet, Guangxi, Guizhou, Sichuan, Hubei, Gansu, Shaanxi, Jiangsu, North China and Northeast China.

[clinical application] treatment of hepatitis and cirrhosis

Take the whole fresh grass to wash away the soil, mash it in the milk bowl and apply it to the acupoints. The diameter of each acupoint was 5-6 cm, the thickness of each acupoint was 1 cm, and the surface of each acupoint was covered with gauze. When removed 12 hours later, local redness and swelling can be seen, and then gradually blistering. When the blister is formed, use a syringe to draw out yellow water, and then apply gauze to allow it to heal itself (about 7-8 days). 1-2 acupoints can be applied each time, generally 1-3 times, with an interval of half a month to 20 days. The first acupoint can be applied for the second time, or other acupoints can be selected. For acute jaundice type, liver area, Zhongwan and Zusanli should be taken, and cholagogic drugs should be added; for non jaundice type, liver area, Zhongwan and Zusanli should be taken; for chronic hepatitis, liver area, Zhongwan, Zusanli and Sanyinjiao should be taken; for liver cirrhosis with abnormal Xu function, liver area, spleen area, Zhongwan and Zusanli should be taken, and Chinese drugs should be added to soothe the liver as appropriate; for hepatosclerotic ascites, water, Guanyuan, Qihai and Zhongwan should be taken. 25 cases of acute icteric and non icteric hepatitis, 94 cases of chronic gastritis and cirrhosis were observed. The results showed that 45 cases were normal (clinical symptoms completely disappeared, liver function returned to normal), 42 cases were progressive (clinical symptoms significantly improved or partially disappeared, liver function was close to normal or some items were normal), 5 cases were unchanged, 2 cases were deteriorated. Generally, 2-4 hours after application, the local skin will be hot, and then the liver will feel tight, and then the liver pain will be relieved; on the next day, after local blistering, there will be bowel sounds, increased urination, reduced abdominal distension, and obvious improvement of appetite. There were 28 cases of ascites due to cirrhosis, 10 cases of ascites disappeared after treatment, 4 cases of ascites subsided obviously, and 14 cases of ascites terminal change. Ascites were excreted by urine. The most rapid increase of urine volume was effective on the day of dressing, and the urine volume of general patients began to increase in 3-5 days. The clinical symptoms caused by liver cirrhosis, such as lower extremity or systemic edema, gastrointestinal symptoms, the vast majority of patients have different degrees of improvement, some patients completely disappeared, individual patients after treatment review of liver function, has returned to normal. Side effects: local pain; some patients feel powerless in the first few days after dressing; some patients have dry mouth, which will disappear soon.
