Variegated leaf

Shrubs climbing with tendrils. The rhizome is fleshy. Stem with nodes, 1 pair of leaflets. Leaves alternate, ovate or ovate lanceolate, apex acuminate, base cordate, margin serrate, red below; young leaves often with brown spots. Cymes opposite leaves. Berries are black when ripe.

Born on the hillside, roadside, river wet place. Distributed in Yunnan, Guangxi, Taiwan and other places.

Functions and indications: dispersing wind and detoxifying, removing swelling and blood stasis, connecting bones and tendons. Treatment of urticaria, eczema, allergic dermatitis, fracture tendon injury, sprain, rheumatism numbness.
