[plant morphology] Douchi grass

Herbaceous perennial, about 30-60 cm high. Rhizome slender, creeping. Stem oblate, stout, nodose, green. Leaves alternate, 2-row, blade sword shaped or long lanceolate, apex acuminate, base white membranous, amplexicaul, entire, parallel veins. The flowers are solitary on the top of the stem, or 2 flowers gather together; perianth is 6, 2 whorls, 3 larger outer whorls, outer reflexed, lavender, with yellow stripes, with cockscomb process in the center; inner whorl is 3 smaller, white; stamen is 3, inserted on the base of perianth; pistil is 1, ovary is lower, 3-locular, stigma is 3-branched, with cockscomb cleft at the top. Capsule oblong, trigonous, many seeds.

Wild in hillside and gully. It is distributed in Guizhou and other places.
