It is a large shrub, 2-3 meters high. Except the young part is slightly hairy, the rest is bald. Leaves opposite, oblong lanceolate or oblong elliptic, 10-15 cm long, 3-6 cm wide, apex acuminate, base short pointed, entire, both sides hairy; bracteoles oblong, 1.5 cm long, 8-10 mm wide; bracteoles oblong, 1.5 cm long 4 cm, width about 3 mm; calyx about 8 mm long, lobes lanceolate; corolla white with purple lines, length about 3 cm, 2-lipped, upper lip 2-lobed or subentire, lower lip 3-lobed; stamens 2, prominent; style linear, short 2-lobed. Capsule about 2 cm long, hairy, 4 seeds. The flowering period is spring and summer.

It is often cultivated in garden. Distributed in Guangdong, Guangxi and other places.
