[source] it is the fruit of spinach, a Chenopodiaceae plant. See "Spinach" for plant morphology.

[chemical composition] it contains sucrose, raffinose and stachyose.

[nature and taste] slightly warm in nature, slightly pungent and sweet in taste.

[meridian tropism] entering the spleen and lung meridians.

Functions and indications: dispel wind, improve eyesight, open the orifice and benefit the intestines and stomach. (the nature and taste of this book is from the south of Yunnan materia medica)

[usage and dosage] oral administration: decoct soup, 3-5 yuan; or grind powder.
