In 1987, he graduated from Northwest Institute of light industry (now Shaanxi University of science and Technology) with a bachelor's degree in engineering; in 1990, he graduated from East China Institute of Engineering (now Nanjing University of science and Technology) with a master's degree in engineering; in 2003, he graduated from Southeast University with a master's degree in business administration.
From 1990 to 2002, he was engaged in enterprise technology management and project development in the plastic processing industry, and presided over the development of the first domestic high-speed wide biaxially oriented polyester film production line.
