Chen zhouquan
Chen zhouquan? Chen Zhou, also known as Guangmin (1795), was born in Tongan, Fujian Province, China. He was born in Changhua, Taiwan, and sold sugar. In the 1790s, he was the leader of the heaven and Earth Society in Taiwan. In 1792 (the 57th year of the reign of Emperor Qianlong), he conspired with Su ye to go to Tong'an, Fujian Province for an incident. After the incident was defeated, he returned to Taiwan with the remaining troops. In the same year, Chen zhouquan, together with Chen Guangai, a member of the heaven and Earth Society on Taiwan South Road, attacked Fengshan County Office. After another defeat, he fled Fengshan and hid in Changhua.
In 1795, the price of rice in the area of Qianlong and Zhanghua continued to be very expensive. Soon after, there was a food riot in Changhua. Although the government sent troops to pacify it, it still failed to pacify the people's grievances.
In March of the same year, more than 3000 people, including Chen zhouquan and Chen Guangai, took the opportunity to start an incident. On March 10, the armed forces, whose main members are members of the heaven and earth society, captured Lukang and killed the Qing Dynasty officials stationed in Lukang. On March 13, Chen zhouquan besieged Bagua mountain and Changhua City, and captured Changhua two days later. However, the army did not win in the northern attack after fighting six.
On March 18, Taiwan Dao Yang Tingli led his troops to Douliu, successfully relieving the siege crisis of Douliu. Then Yang Tingli captured Changhua and Lukang. Chen zhouquan, Chen Guanghui, Huang Chao and others organized thousands of people to revolt again on May 3, killing Zeng Shaolong, a guerrilla of Qingshui division, and Zhu Huichang, a member of Qingshui division. They put forward the slogan of "fighting for heaven and seizing the country" and established a political power with the age of Tianyun. Later, he was suppressed by the local landlords and was captured and sacrificed.
