The synonym Longhua ancient town generally refers to Longhua town
Longhua town is located 37 kilometers south of Pingshan Town, Pingshan County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province. It is named after Longhua temple built in Ming Dynasty. National historical and cultural town. It has a long history. It was built in Song Dynasty. It has formed the scale of ancient town in Ming and Qing Dynasty. It is the important place of Sichuan border garrison in past dynasties. Within the town, there are stone carvings and statues of Danxia cave, a provincial cultural relic protection unit, the country's largest Buddha with a height of about 30 meters, as well as the Qinghong bridge in Anjian, Yuwang palace, Longhua temple, Dusi yamen, fenyinshi, Shishi and well preserved all wood structure neighborhood. There are more than 30000 first-class national protected plants, Alsophila spinulosa, on both sides of the Xisha River.
On August 24, 2019, the Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Yibin City to adjust the administrative divisions of some townships and towns: to cancel Longxi Township and to put its administrative region under the jurisdiction of Longhua Town, whose people's government is located at 152 Mingqing street.
Historical evolution
Longhua town was built in the Song Dynasty. It has formed the existing scale of the ancient town in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It was once an important garrison town on the border of Sichuan. The garrison was set up in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. In the ninth year of Yongzheng reign, the garrison was changed to Ping'an Yingdu Si. Tongpingshan, Mabian, Muchuan, Leibo and other places were stationed. The castle was built in the first year of Xianfeng (1851), and then repaired in the ninth year of Xianfeng. The magnificent stone lion of Dusi yamen is now moved to the bridge head of Liangqiao for people to enjoy.
Traffic information
Take the bus to Pingshan County from Yibin bus station to Pingshan County. After arriving at Pingshan, you can take the direct bus from Pingshan to Longhua. There are about five buses a day.
