The Black-and-White War is a comic book about the Naxi epic Black-and-White War, which consists of seven chapters.

Creative process

Concentrated inspection and supervision of projects financed by the National Art Foundation of Guizhou, Yunnan, Sichuan, Chongqing and Tibet Autonomous Region in 2015 was carried out in Guiyang. Over 150 project leaders and financial personnel from five provinces (cities and districts) who were awarded the National Art Foundation in 2015 and 2016 participated in the meeting. Yang Hongzhong, curator of the Cultural Museum of Lijiang Ancient City District and host of the Black-and-White War Project, attended the meeting.

The project team gave a high appraisal of the Naxi epic "Black and White War" comic exhibition project "high goal setting, effective organization and implementation". The Naxi epic "Black-and-White War" comic exhibition project, undertaken by the Ancient City Style, Radio and Television Bureau and the District Cultural Museum, won 1 million yuan in 2015 from the National Art Fund. After nearly 10 months of efforts, 65 comic lines and some color works were completed together. At the same time, in order to make the project better disseminate, exchange and promotion, traditional exhibitions and motions were used. In addition to completing the Provincial Exhibition plan, the way of combining animated media will be used for touring exhibitions in Beijing, Chengdu and other places.

Content introduction

The Black-and-White War is one of the most important Dongba classics of the Naxi nationality, which has been appraised as China's national intangible cultural heritage. By displaying the vast and frequent battle scenes in ancient Naxi for the sun, moon and stars, it eulogizes the love of life and death between Grazim and Dong Rowalu, and expounds the origin of the universe, the formation of heaven and earth, the birth of mankind, and ten thousand thousand people. The reproduction of things, the concept of everything, the outlook on life, the outlook on good and evil, the outlook on honor and disgrace and the values. Many experts and scholars believe that "The Black and White War" is the Naxi version of "Romeo and Juliet".

The comic strip is divided into seven chapters: creating the sun and moon, stealing the sky and stealing the sun, the death of the prince, Revenge of the sorcerer, heroic beauty, heroic Elegy and harmonious dawn. It combines the creation of traditional comic strip with the painting style of Dongba of Naxi nationality, and shows the charm of intangible cultural heritage and folk painting art.
