Leshan City is located in the middle subtropical zone, which is located in the southwest of Sichuan Basin and Hengduan Mountain area. Emei Mountain is the most representative area. There are 1452 species, 585 genera and 141 families of seed plants. More than half of them are tropical species and genera, followed by temperate ones. There are 925 endemic species in China, 338 endemic species in Sichuan and 107 endemic species in Emei Mountain. There are many plants named after Emei, Washan, Ebian and Mabian. There are more than 100 species of plants named after Emei. There are 39 species of rare and endangered plants in Leshan, accounting for 52.7% of the total 74 species in the province.
